Mendelsohn, President and CEO, announced that Market Technologies, the leading provider of intermarket analysis futures trading software contributed money to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 15,000 runners and walkers took to the flat, scenic streets and picturesque boardwalk of Virginia Beach to participate in the 13.1 miles of music-filled run. Jeannine Thompson, Market Technologies Technical Support ran in the event and raised over $3000. Jeannine was part of the Suncoast Chapter of the ‘Team in Training’ runners who together raised $2.1 million to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. ‘I was thrilled when I crossed the finish line of the Virginia Beach Rock N Roll Half Marathon. I felt so proud to be part of a team that raised so much money to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The entire Team in Training experience was so inspiring and so much fun. I would do it all again in a heartbeat,’ said Jeannine. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which is the world’s foremost voluntary health organization that is committed to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The society’s mission is not only to find cures for blood cancers, but also to help improve patients’ and their family members’ quality of life, while educating them on their condition and how to cope. Since being founded in 1949, the Society has invested and raised more than $360 million dollars for research specifically related to blood cancers.
