Wesley Chapel, FL, December 22, 2008 –- Market Technologies, LLC, developer of VantagePoint Intermarket Analysis Trading Software and TraderPlanet.com, a free social networking web site, teamed up and participated in the Marine Corps Reserve Units’ nationally known Toys for Tots program for the third year in a row.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope. The support and generosity of local community members are the deciding factors in the ultimate success of each toy drive.

Both Market Technologies and TraderPlanet.com participate in numerous charitable events and organizations as part of their mission to give back to the community. Each company held a company-wide toy drive to collect as many toys as possible to benefit the cause. Given the challenge, team members were able to collect a significant amount of toys for various age groups. In addition to the toy drive the companies also made a financial contribution to the foundation.  Because so many people are facing economic hardships this year, the program was faced with the dilemma of possibly having to reduce the number of families it would be able to help.  However, with the generous donations from people and companies, like the Market Technologies and TraderPlanet.com, Toys for Tots decided to commit to helping 4,000 deserving tots. Toys are prepped and sorted December 19th with a distribution date of December 20th.
