Wesley Chapel, FL, October 27, 2008 – If you know eight women, odds are pretty good that one of them will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime, according to National Cancer Institute estimates.

That alarming statistic is why TraderPlanet.com was a Bronze Sponsor for The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on October 25th in Tampa, Florida, donating approximately 2,500 squeeze water bottles to walk participants. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a non- competitive 5k walk to raise money and awareness for breast cancer, which affects more women in the United States than any other cancer, excluding skin cancer. Both large and small businesses, schools, churches, family, friends, and cancer survivors form teams, worked together to raise money, promote awareness and attend the event to support this cause. Last year more than $345,000 was raised in the Tampa community alone.

Death rates from breast cancer have steadily decreased in women since 1990 due to early detection and treatment, with 2.5 million survivors living in the United States.
