Beginning October 7th 2005 and ending October 9th 2005, thousands of women and men will come together for the three days and walk 60 miles in a display of bravery and dedication. The event is affiliated with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, founded on the promise of two sisters. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been the global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of community based outreach programs, education, awareness, and ground-breaking research. The event will begin in Clearwater, FL and end in Tampa, FL.
